BE Aerospace, the world’s leading manufacturer of cabin interior products for aircraft, previously stored all its waste in 40 yard open skips, which were emptied up to four or five times every week with almost all the waste being sent to landfill. This situation was not only proving costly for the company it also had a negative effect on the company’s environmental performance.

ACM introduced a range of modern waste management and recycling equipment including high density compactors and balers.

The result is that waste collections have been reduced from almost 20 per month to just one and large volumes of cardboard are now recycled weekly. As well as greatly improving their environmental credentials, BE Aerospace are also saving in excess of £12,000 per annum on waste management costs.
