ACM Waste Management plc recognise that within our provisions for providing solutions to the handling and control of waste, we inevitably impact on the environment and thus are committed to minimise the potentially harmful effects of such processes wherever and whenever possible.

To confirm the above commitment, Company Management has developed this Environmental Policy Statement, appropriate to our operations as described above. This policy enables us to set objectives and apply the principle of sustainable development, meeting the needs of the present without compromising future generations.

In addition to fully complying with all legal requirements, we will constantly strive to drive down the environmental and health impact of our operations through the responsible use of natural resources and the reduction of waste and emissions. These challenges apply to all parts of our business and to all facilities, plants and offices.

ACM Plc, its Directors, officers and employees will at all times comply with all applicable laws and regulations relating to the environment.

In particular our Company will:

• develop, maintain and implement policies, procedures and management systems to assess and monitor, on a continuous basis, the environmental impact of our operations.
• set targets annually in order to achieve continuous improvement.
• all senior management shall be responsible for ensuring compliance with the ACM policy, including the establishment of programmes and reporting requirements throughout the organisation.
• incorporate in our environmental practices the best available technology that is economically achievable.
• aim to apply the principles of reduction, reuse and recycling to the management of our products and services.
• minimise the use of all materials and energy and not use any materials derived from endangered species.
• communicate regularly with our staff, customers and associates on matters of environmental policy and practices.
• continually ensure that we remain Carbon Neutral plus 10% which will be assessed annually by Climate Care.

Additionally, this Environmental Policy Statement will be made available to all interested parties upon request.
