Dry Mixed Recycling (DMR) is a new recycling service for business customers looking for a simple and efficient way to improve recycling performance, achieve environmental compliance, and control costs. Most business waste is made up of materials that we see as re-usable commodities: cardboard, paper, newspapers, plastic films and bottles, steel and aluminium cans. All of these can be recycled through ACM’s regional Materials Reclamation Facilities (MRF’s), and if they are not contaminated by other waste, such as glass, wood, food and kitchen waste, they can be converted into a re-usable commodity.
Simplicity and cost effectiveness are at the heart of the new DMR service. By having fewer waste containers compared to a source segregated solution, you can now save money, improve environmental performance and you do not need to sort your recyclable waste on site. DMR offers an easy, sustainable process that can greatly increase your recycling rates whilst reducing costs by not disposing to landfill.
